San Francisco @ 35mm
San Francisco is an easy getaway from Sacramento. If I leave early enough in the morning, before traffic hits, I can get there in an hour and a half. This past weekend my mom and I drove into the city for food and exploring. I brought my Olympus OM10 and several rolls of film and got to work.
We started out at Tartine and ate (almost) all the sweets. My favorite is the morning bun. But literally everything in that bakery is delicious. I've made their morning bun recipe a couple times and it's a long process. The whole thing takes three days from start to finish.
My friend Betsy is a brilliant illustrator and artistic person all around. She exposed me to the Legion of Honor Museum and my mom and I were able to experience it first hand. When I was in New York a couple years ago I visited The Met and spent at least three hours inside. Even then I couldn't even get through half of it. My favorite are the old oil paintings. The ones that feature portraits show off such incredible attention to detail and light. It's amazing to me because I'm so used to seeing photographs. But these paintings are just a life-like as a a still photograph.
4505 is an incredible BBQ spot the universe brought me to a couple years ago. And right across the street is The Mill, and The Perish Trust, the cutest little boutique shop for home and health and dress.
