a change would do you good...

what does change mean to you? change, to me, is petrifying...does the change bring greater things into your life? or does it cause more stress? probably a bit of both, i suppose...But it is inevitable, if not in your own life, then in the life around you; policies change, politicians change, people in your communities change.

change: make or become a different substance entirely; transform.
petrify: make (someone) so frightened that they are unable to move or think

the most beautiful transformation i've read of is that of a butterfly...The book When The Heart Waits, by Sue Monk Kidd, is a wonderful story of transformation and waiting...two seemingly different actions. But change and transformation, and waiting, can be painful. But that pain helps transform you into what you are meant to be.

wait: remain in readiness for some purpose

So maybe right now i am meant to be a starbucks barista...as menial as that seems to me sometimes, i will choose to believe i am exactly where God wants me. If i can show God's grace, glory, and love to at least one person while i am working at starbucks, it will be worth every second of frustration, anxiety, stress, disagreements with my boss, etc.

Change is Gonna Come, by Sam Cooke
